The Guyana Police Force has nabbed a security guard with a cache of ammunition and several dozens live rounds earlier this afternoon in Queenstown.

According to the lawmen, the security guard has been on their radar for quite some time.

So today when ranks from the Police Narcotics branch stopped a vehicle that was driven by the suspect, the police conducted a search, and unearthed a .45 pistol fitted with an extended barrel and butt, in addition to forty (40) .45 live ammunition, a magazine and nineteen (19) 7.62 x 39 ammunition concealed in the said vehicle.

The suspect was immediately arrested and taken into custody, as investigations into the arms and ammunition find continues.
