Ángela Soto, a young Spanish woman and TikTok user known as @imjustangeline, has shared a work experience that has not left anyone indifferent. Her video, which has already accumulated more than 50,000 views and continues to rise, recounts how she was called for a job interview in London with Inditex, only to be met with an unpleasant surprise upon arrival.
Expectations that ended in disappointment
The process. All started when Ángela applied for a job opening posted by Inditex on their website. Although she initially applied for a position in Spain, she also did so for a role in the United Kingdom. Days later, she received an email in which she had to answer several questions, including whether she had a visa or residency to work in the UK. She clearly indicated that she did not.

However, the human resources team contacted her to arrange an interview in London. Ángela claims to have sent a resume in English and a cover letter explaining in detail her current situation and the lack of work permit in the country. According to her, this step should have been enough for the company to assess if she met the requirements before asking her to travel.
After a subsequent call to confirm her availability, Angela agreed on a date for the interview that would allow her enough time to organize her trip from Spain. Everything seemed to be going well, until, already in London, she received a phone call that changed everything.
“We cannot hire you”
Arrival in London. Upon arriving in the British capital, Ángela received a call from the human resources department that left her speechless. They informed her that, due to not having residency or a visa, they couldn't hire her. “We can't process the work permits for you here,” they said. The young woman expressed her frustration on TikTok: “Since I don't have papers or a UK passport, I'm screwed and I have to put up with it.”

Angela explained that she had invested time, money, and effort in making the trip, convinced that the company was aware of her legal situation thanks to the previous documents. “I imagine they must have read my cover letter, that's why they called me,” she commented incredulously. According to her, the flights were not exactly inexpensive, and the situation caused her considerable discomfort.
Her determination: “I already have the 'no'”. Far from giving up, Angela decided to go to the human resources offices accompanied by her cousin to express her dissatisfaction. “I'm going to try to make them listen to me. Since I'm here, I'm going to do everything possible. I already have the 'no',” she stated in the video.
The story has generated dozens of comments on social media, where many users have shown their support for the young woman, although there are also those who consider that the mistake was a lack of communication on both sides. “Obviously, you can't work without a visa or work permit,” one user commented. However, others point out that if the company was aware of her legal situation beforehand, they should not have scheduled her for an in-person interview.
