(Georgetown, Guyana) – His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, Prince Harry, is schedule to visit Guyana, a former British colony during the month of December 2016.

He will be visiting Guyana, along with a few other Caribbean territories on behalf of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Prince, who was also ordained as Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, by Her Majesty The Queen, was trained at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and was deployed to Afghanistan during the war against Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban, before settling into Royal duties on behalf of her Majesty.

While much details of his visit has not yet been divulged by Kensington Palace, sources agreed that efforts might be made for the Prince to interface with any surviving members of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces who had functioned under Her Majesty’s rule, during the then British Guiana.

His Royal Highness would be the first member of the Royal Family to visit Guyana since 2004, and would be visiting the former colony during the concluding period of the country’s 50th Anniversary Jubilee celebrations.
