The Three Wise Men already have it prepared for one of the most magical nights for children. Their Majesties have arrived on time and are parading through the main cities of Spain. In some places, they advanced their visit yesterday to avoid the rain, especially in the western half of the Iberian Peninsula. That's why towns in Andalusia, Galicia, or Extremadura already celebrated the traditional parades on Saturday.
This Sunday, Their Majesties of the East have arrived in other Spanish cities, each using different means of transportation. In Logroño, they landed by helicopter at the Las Gaunas municipal stadium, while in Barcelona, Gijón, Palma, and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, they arrived by boat.
The presence of the Three Wise Men will have a special significance in the towns affected by the dana in the Valencian Community. Both the mayor of Riba-roja, Robert Raga, and the mayor of Benetússer have pointed out the need for a “special Christmas, especially for the children,” where the parades could not be missed.
In other enclaves, animals have also played a significant role. In the case of Pamplona, the Three Wise Men have once again entered the capital of Navarra riding on their camels across the Romanesque Magdalena Bridge, creating yet another iconic image.
